Classes/Events
Our most recent class was a Bible Study on the “Three Simple Rules for Christian Living”
Pastor Tom spoke about our Bible Study on the “Three Simple Rules for Christian Living” as revisited by Bishop Rueben Job, a six-week study beginning January 12 through February 24, 2010:
“Three Simple Rules for Christian Living provides extended reflection on three principles of Christian living by John Wesley. A Wesleyan way of living: do no harm, do good, and stay in love with God. This study is designed to help us return to those early Wesleyan understandings of spiritual disciplines that can transform us and the world in which we live. As we take this journey of reflection and practice, we will discover that these three rules can lead us to a more faithful way of living as a disciple of Jesus Christ.”
Through the words of John Wesley, Ruben Job, and the Bible, we will reflect on what these rules meant during Wesley’s time and what they can mean to us today. We will also identify ways the practice of these rules can change our daily life and the lives of those around us.
I am excited about this opportunity to fellowship together on a journey of discovery and spiritual growth as we continue to develop our personal relationships with Jesus Christ.
Remember, “staying in love with God” means keeping faith with God. And, when faith wins anxiety and worry loses, when faith wins the devil has no solid ground to stand on.
Grace & Peace,
Pastor Tom
