Paint Creek UMC and sister church Howarth UMC traveled to the mountains of Tegucigalpa Honduras to give aid to an Orphanage. Twenty one children were cared for by one very brave woman named Maria.
The children had two bedrooms one room for the girls and one room for the boys. The living conditions were minimal at best. It was our mission to build a garden and teach the children how to grow their own vegetables.
Our tools were an axe, a few shovels and rakes. As you can see the children were happy and excited to help!
The photos to the left depict our experiences and the many volunteers and orphanage residents who worked together towards an education for both and a lasting relationship.

Paint Creek UMC teamed up with Troy Kensington to travel to Cape Town to feed the homeless, visit an orphanage, visit an AID’S hospital and to spread the word of AIDs in the many townships around the city. The people of the townships have no running water and no electricity.
Many don’t know how the Aid’s virus is spread. Because of this there are many who die and leave their children behind. Most are brought to the township Orphanages to be cared for. We did visit one township Orphanage and brought the children hygiene kits that were donated from the US.
We also gave a very fun packed early Christmas Celebration to many of the very poor children of Cape Town.
